Clear Creek Challenge 2009 will be round #8 of the South Central Regional Championship Series at Clear Creek Recreational Area, on the scenic east side of Sardis Lake.

Registration 4pm - 6pm Saturday afternoon at the Clear Creek trail head.
Sunday, September 20, 2009 All Categories
Registration will start 7:00am until 30 minutes before the class starts.
All registered riders will be required to sign a USAC Event Release form before participating. You may visit USA Cycling to view and print the form.

All categories start with 2 minute increments between age groups.
According to SCRCS, Expert 40+ class will race same number as sport laps.
Prize Payout Schedule
The cash prize for Cat 1 is subject to change based on the total number of riders registered for the Cat 1 events.Entry fees for Cat 1 will be distributed as prizes in addition to the minimum payout ($60 + 50% of age group fees to 1st, $40 + 30% to 2nd, and $20 + 20% to 3rd). Age groups may be combined at the discretion of the race director.

Course Description, Map and Elevation
The Clear Creek Challenge features a 10 mile loop of single track with a total of 1100 ft of elevation change per lap. The race is listed as a single points race for the SCRCS series.
General course route in red. Race starts at trail head. Parking and primitive camping near trail head.
Directions To Race
From the Square in Oxford, MS 38655, go approximately 1 mile on Jackson Ave West. At the light, take a right onto MS-314 (to College Hill and Coon Town) and drive about13 miles, towards Clear Creek. Final results will be posted as soon as available after each event at the start/finish area.Parking
Saturday Evening (Packet Pickup and registration from 4pm – 6pm): Parking is available at race site.Sunday Morning Race: Parking will be available around the trailhead shown in the topographic map. Signs will indicate the race area, and parking is at your discretion along the road around the race area.
Accomodations
Camping is available near the race area. The campsites before the proper entrance to the park are free; they are primitive campsites, with no restroom, no grill, no easy access to water. These campsites are closest to (in fact, some are within) the race area. If you bring a grill, please be prudent in your use of fire, as this is a wooded area.Within the park, camping is $10 per night per tent or camper, and is payable at a self-service area near the entrance to the area. These sites are more equipped, having water, typical hookups, grills, and restrooms.
Special Note: Clear Creek is managed by the US Army Corps of Engineers, and as such has an alcohol ban for the entire Clear Creek area. Please note this exception.
