Ride details are usually confirmed through our Google Group and impromptu rides are often posted by Oxford Cycling members looking for company. Before showing up for a ride we recommend you check the Google Group, if you have any questions about rides, speed, distance that's the place to ask.

Common Terms used to describe a ride :
B Team - no drop ride (with stops to re-group/rest if necessary).
B- or C+ - beginner ride, no drop, lots of encouragement.
Moderate pace - more serious ride averaging 17-19mph, we might wait for you on hills depending how far back you are.
Smooth ride - No sprinting, no stopping, no waiting.
YOYO (You're On Your Own) - what it says.
Self Supported - not exactly a YOYO ride, but it's a good idea to bring a cell phone, money for store stops, stuff for at least one flat tire, and know how to pace yourself so you don't bonk.
Regular Rides
Monday |
B Team Ride - 23 miles starting 4:30-5:30 depending on time of year (15-17mph), no drop ride (with stops to re-group/rest if necessary). Race team members will often do a recovery ride on Monday afternoon - your chance to ride with the fast guys without getting completely blown away (17-18mph). **Note, Ride is now starting at 4:30** |
Tuesday |
MTB ride at Taylor Trails usually starting 4:30pm (1 - 1.5 hours). Interval training or Time Trial, everyone welcome, ride at your own pace.

Wednesday |
B Team Ride - 23 miles starting 4:30-5:30 depending on time of year. (15-17mph), no drop ride (with stops to re-group/rest if necessary). There is often a faster 40-50 mile 19+mph ride starting 3:30-4:30pm. **Note, Ride is now starting at 4:30** |
Thursday |
MTB ride at Taylor Trails usually starting 4:30pm (1 - 1.5 hours). |
Friday |
Easy MTB ride at Taylor Trails starting 3:30pm. |
Saturday |
Saturday mornings will usually include a 30-50 mile B Team ride with some people doing a faster option -check Google Group for times and distances.

There is often a fast MTB ride at Clear Creek and another weekend road ride - check Google Group for times and distances. Sweet Repeats - hill repeats, the only way you'll get better at hills, ride at your own pace. County Road 435. Check Google Group for times. |
